Empowering North Carolina Students

Our Goal, Vision & Commitment

Our Curriculum Mission

Welcome to STEM Academy!

STEM Academy is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and STEM mentorship organization that currently operates in North Carolina. The organization, founded in 2020 by a NC native who's now a Harvard undergrad, strives to create quality learning experiences and connections within student communities through STEM.

We offer two types of mentorship, both of which are provided at no cost. STEM Academy hopes to serve as many schools, organizations, families, and students as possible, regardless of Title I status, and welcomes all who are interested in our services to reach out.

If you are interested in supporting our mission, please contribute! All donations are tax-deductible.

We provide K-12 students, particularly those of disadvantaged background, with virtual and adaptable mentorship, guidance, and tutoring in succeeding and achieving in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Mission Statement

What Others Say

" I approached Zane one week before I needed judges for our school's science fair.  I had very little time to prepare and merely provided him with the judging rubric and times I would need judges via Zoom.  Zane arranged for judges to be available for 2 different Zoom times and shared all the materials and links with the judges.  He took complete control and put me at ease!  All of the mentors he matched me with came to the zooms on time and prepared. They were engaging with the students and encouraging as well.  After the Zoom meetings I received feedback from the judges immediately!  Feedback not only included rubric information but also valuable information for the students to prepare them for the county level science fair.  I highly recommend using this mentor resource as you will receive quality mentors!"
